PI Cristiana Bastos has been invited as a keynote to the Workshop “Negotiating Europeanness: Race, Class, and Culture in the Colonial World” 27 June 2023 – Leiden University, The Netherlands. Professor Bastos will talk about “Negotiating race in the post-abolition plantation world: Portuguese labor migrants and settlers in colonial Guiana, Hawaii and Huíla (Angola)”
