The Center for Portuguese Studies (CPS) at the Berkeley’s Institute of European Studies, University of California, Berkeley is pleased to organize a seminar on “Anthropology from Portugal, on Portugal and beyond Portugal:
racialized relations and representations”.
The PI Cristiana Bastos has been invited to present her work about “Portuguese in the cane: the racialization of labour in Hawaiian plantations” where she discusses the relationship between the roles in the production system and the production of racialized social categories.
